I wish to meet you and discuss issues affecting my family here in the UK due to the human right situation for my immediate family and friends back in Sri Lanka.
It has been over 6 years since the genocidal war in Sri Lanka came to an end in 2009 . Nearly 150,000 people remain unaccounted for and 18,000 men, women and children who were taken away by the Sri Lankan state have not been accounted for by the state. The victims await justice for the war crimes, crimes against humanity and crime of genocide committed against them by the Sri Lankan state.
We have collected signatures on a petition urging our Prime Minister, David Cameron and the Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond to take this matter up in the UN. As our MP representing us at the seat of government, we request your support for our call to justice and convey the petition to the Prime Minister and the Foreign Secretary.
I would very much appreciate it, if you can give me an earliest possible appointment to meet you and discuss this matter which is very personal and of great concern to me and my family in UK.
